An Introduction To Chakras
Chakra literally translates to wheel. In Yoga, Chakras mean wheels of energy present throughout the body. Seven main Chakras align with the spine, starting from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. These swirling wheels of energies correspond to massive nerve centers in the body. The seven main Chakras are located around major nerve centers and important organs.
The Anahata Chakra is one of the seven main Chakras in the human body. Anahata is a Sanskrit term that means “unstruck” and refers to the sound of the cosmos that just exists on its own and isn’t produced because of striking of two objects. Anahata also means pure and clean. The Anahata chakra is located at the center of the heart and symbolized by two intersecting triangles that form a six-pointed star with a dot in the center. This is a symbolism of how the lower three chakras and the upper three chakras merge at this point in a certain way.
Why Anahata – Love Thyself Meditation?
Anahata Chakra meditation creates a state of love and understanding that appears when we are able to look at life with an open, unbiased perspective. This state specifically brings peace and inclusiveness and teaches us to love ourselves and others for better life experience.
